The Daily Digest for Thursday: Safeway $5 Friday is Tomorrow, Deal on Vegan Saucony Sneakers, Coupons including Oui Yogurt, Today, + More for Less!

You can check out previous Daily Digests too, I keep a week’s worth of deals here.

I’ve changed the format of this a bit to make it easier for you to QUICKLY see the NEWEST Deals for the day (or Weekend Wrap-Ups.) I was struggling with how best to keep some of the previous deals around that were still good, without making it cumbersome to find that day’s New Deals. It seemed a shame to just delete some of the deals after a day that were still really good and long-term. But, I also want you to be able to quickly check on the newest ones, too! So, deals from the SAME day (or weekend wrap-up for 3-days) will be at the very top. Deals that you may want to reference later will follow.

In my Penny Pantry Facebook Group, I post many deals & info. throughout the day including freebies, deal updates & changes, Amazon Deals, meals & recipes, food discounts I run across + more! Some are more timely than others: the Amazon Warehouse Deals tend to come and go quickly, so Facebook is a good platform for me to let you know about those deals quickly.

Posts here on my website take longer to write and deliver, so I primarily use it for Weekly Grocery Deals, and other deals I think you may want to reference later. But, I’d like to bridge that gap as not everyone is on Facebook. Plus, it may be nice to have the Daily Deals together, as the Facebook feeds don’t run exclusively chronologically.

So, I’ll try this out and see how it goes! Please let me know if you think this will be useful as a companion to my Facebook posts. And, if you’re on Facebook and haven’t joined our group yet, I hope you will join and become part of our active, supportive vegan community! <3 Amy

My Dad would just make a little makeshift fire pit for us on the beach to roast our hot dogs. Ah, the good ol’ days!

The Daily Digest for Monday, 7/05

• Outlet Deal on these Cereal Bowls Large, 24 OZ Ramen, Dessert, Salad Bowls Set of 4. These are made out of wheat, great environmentally conscious alternative to plastic.

• Target: Check for a possible 35% off one-time Food & Beverage Circle offer! This CAN be stacked with the various 25% off ones we have for the 2-Day deal. Note these all expire tonight. I didn’t get the 35%, but I’m hearing about it in other groups.
• Safeway: All the melons I used in my fruit salad were from the Buy 1, Get 1 FREE Melon Sale. They were super sweet!
• Safeway: Pay $1.12 ea. for Sabra Hummus and Wheat Thins! I tested this deal, and updated my Deal Idea.
• Safeway: $.10 Corn at Safeway thru Tuesday. At this price, I’m planning to freeze some of the kernels to have later when corn isn’t so cheap. Requires a coupon for the $.10 price, details here:
• Safeway Sneak Peek – Starts Wed.! Kite Hill Cream Cheese will be on a monthly sale for $3.99. Stack this with a $1 coupon we have, and pay just $2.99 each for this normally pricey cream cheese. I think the regular price is $5.99.
• Safeway Sneak Peek – I got a look at the new Monthly Book that starts Wednesday. We’ll have a month-long sale on Breyer’s Ice Cream! Just $3.99 each. Good value for these larger tubs compared to other ice cream that comes in the pints.
• Outlet Deal on Ecolution Original Microwave Micro-Pop Popcorn Popper, Borosilicate Glass, 3-in-1 Silicone Lid, Dishwasher Safe, BPA Free, 1.5 Quart Snack Size, Red. Popcorn is a very frugal snack, I buy kernels in 10 lb. bags at Chef’Store.

• Safeway Sneak Peek – Starts Wed. Peaches and Nectarines will be $1.48/lb. Not my preferred $1/lb., but this has been the lowest price so far this season at my major stores. Sprouts has the same sale from last week thru tomorrow.

• There’s still time to get in on our Grocery Deals from last week, these are the top deals thru Tuesday.
• Safeway: I’ve heard there is also a FREE 3 ct. Open Nature Paper Towel app coupon, but I don’t have that one. (I also don’t know about the cruelty-free status of this product, please use your own judgment). This and the FREE No-Cow Bar expire tonight.
• Lightning Deal is over, but still a great deal on these and a 10% off coupon to clip! It talks about how the elevated and tilted bowls have health benefits too, interesting. Lightning Deal on this Raised Set of cat or small dog food bowls. Great price on these, and there’s an extra coupon to clip. Ends in about 5 hours

Grocery Stores

• Mr. Penny Pantry did a great Sprouts Shopping Trip today. He may have stolen my notes. After I submit for Ibotta, paid about $32 for everything pictured. Most of these are in my Monthly Sprouts post, I’ll drop link in comments.
• Sprouts: $1.50 Lightlife! The Lightlife Bacon and Sausage Rolls pictured here are also on the deal I shared for the hot dogs. I paid $1.50 ea. for all of these Lightlife today after Ibotta. You can see details in my post here:
• Sprouts: Lightlife Chik’n Tenders Just $1.99! I added this deal to my post HERE:
• Yellow Peaches or Nectarines $1.48/lb. at Sprouts. Pictured are ones I took a picture of last year at Sprouts when they were $.98/lb. Hopefully, we’ll see that price again this year, but sales on peaches haven’t been the best this season so far. We did luck out at the Farmers’ Market recently at $.99/lb. toward closing time.

• Avocados as low as $.63 ea. at Sprouts.
• Safeway: Flash Sale and a Free No Cow Bar just appeared for the weekend! These are app coupons you’ll need to save. Today is also $5 Friday and the 1st day of the 3-Day Sale. Check out these and more deals in my Weekly Safeway Post on my website.
• Safeway: I had a few nice surprises with my deals last night. The multiple Safeway app coupons for the same items attached to single purchases. For example, I had saved many different Nature Valley coupons and Chex Mix coupons. I paid as low as $.04 for one of the bars, and $.72 for 3 bags of Chex. We’ll see if this is a continuing trend. The coupons may have been slightly different, like $1/2 and $1/3. I think this is why they stacked. Something to look out for, will make for great deals!
• Safeway: I did the Sabra Hummus and Triscuits deal, it did work to submit for the $1/2 Checkout 51 Triscuits rebate after using the $3 Safeway app coupon. I paid $1.16 total for hummus and Triscuits! Note I did buy 3 boxes of crackers, they were actually 3/$5 at my store. You’ll see what I mean with my Deal Idea here:
• Found this 6 pack of Impossible Burgers at Safeway tonight! It was the only one I saw in the store, and seemed to be in the wrong place. And, I did MANY laps LOL. All the cool girls hang out at Safeway on a Friday night, right?! I was like the only one there ha ha.
• Update at Safeway: No coupon needed! Just use club card. I checked this out at my Safeway tonight, 2nd photo. Safeway: Buy 1, Get 1 Free Beyond Burger or Ground!
