The Daily Digest for Monday: How to Start Saving 50% & More on your Groceries, Safeway Sneak Peeks, Get a FREE Slurpee delivered Today for FREE, Great Deal on Silicone Popsicle Molds + Much More for Less!

I’ve changed the format of this a bit to make it easier for you to QUICKLY see the NEWEST Deals for the day (or Weekend Wrap-Ups.) I was struggling with how best to keep some of the previous deals around that were still good, without making it cumbersome to find that day’s New Deals. It seemed a shame to just delete some of the deals after a day that were still really good and long-term. But, I also want you to be able to quickly check on the newest ones, too! So, deals from the SAME day (or weekend wrap-up for 3-days) will be at the very top. Deals that you may want to reference later will follow.

In my Penny Pantry Facebook Group, I post many deals & info. throughout the day including freebies, deal updates & changes, Amazon Deals, meals & recipes, food discounts I run across + more! Some are more timely than others: the Amazon Warehouse Deals tend to come and go quickly, so Facebook is a good platform for me to let you know about those deals quickly.

Posts here on my website take longer to write and deliver, so I primarily use it for Weekly Grocery Deals, and other deals I think you may want to reference later. But, I’d like to bridge that gap as not everyone is on Facebook. Plus, it may be nice to have the Daily Deals together, as the Facebook feeds don’t run exclusively chronologically.

So, I’ll try this out and see how it goes! Please let me know if you think this will be useful as a companion to my Facebook posts. And, if you’re on Facebook and haven’t joined our group yet, I hope you will join and become part of our active, supportive vegan community! <3 Amy

• Safeway Sneak Peek – Starting Wed., Nature Valley Bars will be on sale Buy 2, get 3 FREE! Last time we had a sale on these, I was able to stack all the app coupons I had and paid as low as $.04 per box! Some, not all are vegan. You can check for and save Safeway app coupons here to get ready:
• If you prefer to make your own granola bars without sugar or oil, I made these recently. I used my Banana-Oat-Applesauce cookie recipe. You can get really creative with lots of different additions like nuts/seeds, dried fruit, coconut, chocolate chips, etc.

• What’s for Lunch? Last night I made a big batch of vegetable soup and hummus. This will be the soup we eat frequently throughout the week for lunch. Each bowl of soup costs about $.25. I’m able to do this by buying ingredients in bulk and at the lowest price with my Price Book. I have a couple of posts on those savings strategies:

• “Regular” prices at my local Safeway cost around 3-4x as much as I will spend for groceries. There is a better way! You can easily slash your grocery expenses by 50% and more. It may not seem like a lot per item, but it adds up to a lot! Here is a post a wrote a while back and just republished on my website.

• Has anyone tried the Forager Parmesan? Here’s a recipe for homemade crackers using it, looks yummy! You should get a pop-up for a $1 off Forager coupon too.
• We still have today and tomorrow to take advantage of these great grocery deals from last week. Don’t miss all the FREEBIES! I’ll also have all NEW Weekly Deals up tomorrow that start Wed.

• If you got the deal on the silken tofu (any firmness will work) this Tofu Chocolate Mousse is a fast and yummy dessert to make with it. I noticed I hadn’t re-published this after I had reformatted some of my posts a while back. I often make this when we’re craving something sweet and don’t want to do a big baking project. Enjoy!
