Update 11/01: I’ve changed the format of this a bit to make it easier for you to QUICKLY see the NEWEST Deals for the day (or Weekend Wrap-Ups.) I was struggling with how best to keep some of the previous deals around that were still good, without making it cumbersome to find that day’s New Deals. It seemed a shame to just delete some of the deals after a day that were still really good and long-term. But, I also want you to be able to quickly check on the newest ones, too! So, deals from the SAME day (or weekend wrap-up for 3-days) will be at the very top. Deals that you may want to reference later will follow.

In my Penny Pantry Facebook Group, I post many deals & info. throughout the day including freebies, deal updates & changes, Amazon Deals, meals & recipes, food discounts I run across + more! Some are more timely than others: the Amazon Warehouse Deals tend to come and go quickly, so Facebook is a good platform for me to let you know about those deals quickly.

Posts here on my website take longer to write and deliver, so I primarily use it for Weekly Grocery Deals, and other deals I think you may want to reference later. But, I’d like to bridge that gap as not everyone is on Facebook. Plus, it may be nice to have the Daily Deals together, as the Facebook feeds don’t run exclusively chronologically.

So, I’ll try this out and see how it goes! Please let me know if you think this will be useful as a companion to my Facebook posts. And, if you’re on Facebook and haven’t joined our group yet, I hope you will join and become part of our active, supportive vegan community! <3 Amy

Grocery Stores

• Costco: I spotted this Kirkland brand oatmilk for the 1st time, and there’s a $2 instant coupon on it. Pay just $6.59 for 6 (32 oz.) packs
• Costco – Delivered thru Instacart! I don’t know if this is in every area, but I’m seeing it available for me in CA.
• Costco: Picking up a few things we were low on. This is a typical trip, I tend to buy the same items here I’ve verified are the best prices out of all my stores. Let me know if you would like the price on anything.
• Safeway: The Weekend Flash sale is now live! Be sure to save the coupons to get the deals. There is a $.99 deal for Oyster Crackers, a $.99 Hormel Chili (the vegetarian is vegan and is included), + More! I love how these overlap the $5 Friday sales. You can search under “New Deals” or “Flash Sale” to see if you got the offers.
• Cabbage Deals! There are many great deals this week for cabbage, the best in my area is $.39/lb. at Safeway. Their sale on cabbage is extended to Wed., in case you’re doing last-minute St. Patrick’s Day shopping.
• Potato Sales! The best price in my area this week for russet potatoes is at Food Maxx, $1.99 for a 10 lb. bag. Grocery Outlet also has a nice deal on red potatoes, $1.50 for a 5 lb. bag.
• One of our members found at Grocery Outlet – Annie’s Microwavable Vegan Mac! It was priced at $1.49. Thanks for sharing Clyde!

Drugstores

• Drugstore All NEW Weekly Deals – Starts Sunday! Don’t miss Buy 1, get 1 FREE Cashews, Pistachios & Almonds, $3.88 Large Cans of Coffee, Dark Chocolate Lindt Bunny Deals + Much More! Many deals will be online, too. Be sure to look at my promocodes, and clip any special coupons on the sites too.
• CVS: We have a fantastic coupon deal starting tomorrow: ALL CVS store brand items will be 30% off! This is a store-wide deal, FYI you will need to activate the offer in the CVS app, or get a coupon from the in-store coupon machine. There are several CVS only brands, so this will include MANY items.

• Blaze Pizza: Free Drink when you get the app!
• Safeway: Possibly FREE Microwave Popcorn and Coke with Coffee! Check your offers in the app or online in your Just 4U acct. to see if you have these offers!

• Sunday Newspaper Coupon Preview for tomorrow – we have a couple new ones for Celestial Seasonings, plus a few others.

Online Deals

• Macy’s: One Day Sale, great deals on Kitchen Items. I’m seeing big discounts on coffeemakers, waffle irons, blenders, cookware sets, panini press + More! Ends tonight.
• Macy’s: How cute is this Bee Tea Kettle?! Included in the Deal of the Day, 60% off. There are other bee themed items, too.

Recipes

• Happy Pi Day! The “pie” that daughter requested I make today is my Spinach Tofu Quiche. I’m thinking of making both whole pies and some mini ones. Please share any vegan pie you are enjoying today!

Misc.

• For everyday coffee, we use cheap Maxwell House (or similar) with a bit of flavored coffee. It even tastes good with just unsweetened almond milk. I like this when I’m being good about refined sugar. We have the Maxwell House on Subscribe and Save, and get the flavored coffee in Amazon Warehouse Deals. We’ll have a $3.49 Drugstore Deal on Maxwell House tomorrow, too!

• NEW Grove collaborative Sets to choose from! You can get a FREE Mrs. Meyer’s Set OR choose from three other sets with a $20 purchase. You get to pick your scents, and it’s very user friendly to customize your order on a single page. This is a subscription, can cancel anytime.

Amazon Finds & Whole Foods Delivery

• Reminder: There are some great deals to be had in the Whole Foods Annual Beauty Sale this week. There’s also an in-store Beauty Bag offer, $20 for $120 value. I have no idea if all the products are vegan/cruelty free though. Let us know if you happen to check! You can also order the Weekly Sale items online if Whole Foods delivers in your area.
• Love these! Large Metal Wire Storage Basket 4 pack.
• Nice deal on this Large Dish Drying Rack, rolls up. Handy for fruits/veggies too.

Announcements: Safeway $5 Friday is Tomorrow! Save on Strawberries, Thomas’ Bagels, Pepsi + More! The $5 Friday Deals are at the end of my Safeway Weekly Deals. As always, please check your flyers if in a different regional area than mine.

Announcements: All New Grocery Deals Started Today! 

• We love these Butler Soy Curls at my house! They are pricey, and in a 3-pack the price stops to drop per price of each bag. There’s also a 4.,6, 24, even 12 lb. pack for additional savings. We have occasionally seen this in the Warehouse Deals. You can also order them directly from Butler, but you’ll have to pay for shipping.
• Nice discount on this Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Liquid Dish Soap Refill, Cruelty Free Formula, Lemon Verbena Scent, 48 oz, Looks like it may be a Whole Foods delivery deal only.
• I will be forever grateful that my Mom encouraged my interest in cooking at a young age. Get those kids in the kitchen! This book, geared for 8-12 year olds is currently FREE with Kindle Unlimited. The Vegan Cookbook for Kids: Easy Plant-Based Recipes for Young Chefs.
• Good deal currently on Miyoko’s The Homemade Vegan Pantry: The Art of Making Your Own Staples. The Caesar dressing recipe I love is included in here. Highly-rated.
• Nice discount on these! Home EC Stainless Steel Salt and Pepper Grinders refillable Set – Short Glass Shakers. We love having freshly ground salt and pepper at the table, and I have an extra pepper grinder in the kitchen too.

• If you’re doing your grocery shopping from home these days, there are still deals to be had! In the past, most online prices differed from in-store sales. This has been changing in a good way recently. If you’ve avoided online ordering because you found it too expensive in the past, you may be surprised at what you find now. Here are some discounts and lots of “try it free” deals I put together:

• Sprouts: 2 FREE Kite Hill Yogurts when used with the $5 coupon! I did this yesterday with the 20% Plant-Based coupon. Details in my post here under “Refrigerated” header.
• Sprouts: Deal got even better, Sun Cups now just $.49!
• The $5 off $40 coupon is now in the Sprouts app. Think of it as 20% off when evaluating your deals. I scrolled down a bit in the app and saw it. Note it is regional and excludes some states. This coupon is separate from the other barcode coupons, so be sure to use both!
• Sprouts: I found the Vegan Unicorn Gummies!
• Sprouts: I’ve added a couple more deals to my Weekly List including Good Karma Flaxmilk or Sour Cream for $1.49.

• Whole Foods: NEW Weekly Deals! We also have some repeats from last week as some of the sales have been going for 2 weeks. Don’t miss the FREE ONE Plant Bar, Kashi cereal as low as $.25, Maya Kaimal Pouches as low as $.70, Califia Products 30% off, $6.99 off 2 packs of Beyond Meatballs & More!

• Safeway: Daiya Pizzas will be on sale for $6.99 starting tomorrow. There is still a coupon that can be printed if you got it in your e-mail a couple of months ago.
• Our Target Deals go thru Saturday. The Fun Run Sale is this week! The offers are Circle offers, be sure to save them in the app. You can even stack other Circles with these, there are a few for fruits and veggies, and there’s a 20% off ALL fruits and veggies. Can use for online orders, too

• Safeway All NEW Weekly Deals – Starts Wed.! It’s another great week: $.39/lb. Cabbage, Buy 1, Get 1 FREE Large Avocados, BOGO Best Foods Vegan Mayo, Sale on Daiya Pizzas, Lightlife Burgers + More!
• Sprouts All NEW Weekly Deals – Starts Wed! Highlights: Cabbage $.50/lb., Strawberries one lb. $1.98, Annie’s Vegan Mac $2, Kashi Cereal as low as $.50, Kite Hill Yogurt $.12 + More! We’ll also have a $5/$40 coupon. See all the deals HERE:
• Easter Candy Supply Update: Some of the No Whey items have sold out on Amazon, and some of the Natural Candy Store items as well, I’m still seeing lots of our dark chocolate Lindt Bunnies available in the stores and to order online.
• Another Vegan Jelly Bean! Sun Ridge Farms Organic Jolly Beans. I found these at Natural Candy Store. You can get a 10% off code when you text the word NATURAL to 50812.
• FREE Stretch & Flex Smoothie at Smoothie King! Thru 3/11. All of their smoothies can be made vegan. This one looked vegan, but I would ask about the supplement powder.
• Target: I noticed recently that Target has a better everyday price now on Gardein – $3.29 per pack, whereas at my Safeway stores it’s $4.99. (You can also get Gardein for $2.79 this week with a 15% off Circle offer.) Target carries lots of other veggie meats that may be priced better than the supermarkets, too. It’s easy to compare prices with everything online now. Twenty years ago, I compared prices by visiting each store! FYI: Check ingredients, as not all of these will be vegan!
• Great deal on these in Today’s Deals – The Original Popco Tongs, Set of 3. These are very handy in the kitchen!
• BIG discount on these in Today’s Deals! Premium Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls with Airtight Lids (Set of 5).
• In Today’s Deals: Stainless-Steel Kitchen Utensil Set – 10-piece. This comes with some of my favorites: whisk, potato masher (great for bananas and beans, too!), tongs and slotted and non-slotted spoons.
• These are still available and a good price per box. Handy if you have many Easter baskets to fill! SOUR PATCH KIDS Easter Bunnies Sweet & Sour Chewy Candy Pack of 12.
• I got this deal previously on 3 packs of scissors, and these work really well! Look at those reviews. I bought some scissors from a discount store during Christmas, and they didn’t work well at all. There are some a little cheaper per pair sets, but I recommend these as I’ve tried them. There’s currently a nice discount on these, I think it’s the same one I got before.
• These individual packs of Hippeas have a 20% off S&S coupon, can cancel anytime. Other flavors also available.

The Daily Digest Monday, March 8th

• Edible Easter Grass! How cool is this?! The 1st ingredient is potato starch. A good alternative to that plastic messy grass. Available at Target for $2.09 per pack.
• Target: If you printed the avocado coupon we had (it’s gone now!) you can get avocados for just $.19 ea. at Target this week.
• JC Penney: There are some nice deals to be had right now with a couple of promotions. Everyone can take 25% off with the code GOSHOP3 and there’s also a 30% off for cardholders with code 7GEMS. PLUS get a $10 Bonus Reward for every $50 spent thru 3/14, If you sign up for the rewards program, you can get 30% off too! Let us know if you cook up any great deals!
• Safeway Preview: I looked into my crystal ball and large avocados will be Buy 1 Get 1 FREE starting Wed. We may be able to use the avocado coupon we have, too!
• Safeway Sneak Peek – Lightlife Burgers will be on sale for $3.99 starting Wed. Hopefully a coupon or rebate shows up, too!
• Target: Get Gardein packs for just $2.79 this week. There are deals on the Skillet Meals & Bowls, too. Can do this deal in-store or for online orders.
• Target: We have a Target Circle to stack with an Ibotta on these Oatmilk Lattes. Details in my post here near end under “Beverages”:
• Lots of FREE items with Ibotta at Walmart right now! There’s also a current $10 bonus that these will count toward. Look in the “earn more” area to see how many items you need to buy for the bonus, mine is 20.

We are starting to see some of our yearly sales on baking items. The best price I’ve found for baking items is usually in bulk large 25 lb. bags. My local Warehouse store, Smart Foodservice is where I tend to get the best price per lb. However, this time of year, flour, sugar and more will be on sale in regular stores, too. Sometimes this will beat my Warehouse store prices.
