General Guidelines for Safeway Shopping:
Safeway has a free mobile app where you can save all the store coupons you see in the ad (in the “Just for You” section). Personalized deals based on your purchase history, and occasionally some FREE items can also be found there! In addition, you’ll receive points with every shopping trip which you can redeem for free items!
I post the “Best Deals” for plant-based groceries. The goal is to stock up when prices are at their lowest, buying enough until the next sale. Your all time lowest prices may be higher or lower than mine. I have verified prices since 1998 by keeping track with my Price List. The price book will guide you in paying the lowest prices.
All my deals are plant-based, spanning the range from WFPB (no oil and no sugar), to everything vegan. All are welcome! ♥

Safeway Digital Coupons: I suggest checking the app and saving all the coupons that interest you so you don’t miss any! I include them as best as I can, but some are specific to each acct. New coupons often appear after I post my Weekly Deals, too, so check the app often!

You do have to register for this separately from the Safeway app. Then, you’ll enter a # you’ll receive at the end of your receipts to accumulate points and win prizes like gift cards.

Note: Usually at Safeway you don’t have to buy multiples to get the “single discount” price, notable exceptions are soda sales and certain #, get certain # free. Check store tags!
“Must clip or click coupon” means there is a coupon you have to use to get the price I list. You can clip the coupon in the paper ad or click and save the offer in the Safeway mobile app in the Just for You section.

When using coupons: We are generally allowed to use ONE manufacturer coupon per item. This can be stacked with a rebate like Ibotta (unless stated otherwise, Checkout 51 rebates can’t combine.) I may list more than one manufacturer coupon, but that is only to share all available coupons. Also, using a coupon for a “FREE” item in a sale (like a BOGO) is usually not permitted, but you can check with the store’s manager.
Please check ingredients in a product if you are unsure if it’s vegan. I may list a product that has some, but not all vegan options in its line.
