Last night I got 4 bags of groceries at Safeway for $8! Much of it was Monopoly Wins and Safeway Rewards I had cashed in. Some are Weekly Deals that are still good thru today.
There’s still time to cash in Monopoly prizes and scan tickets for new prizes! I’ve put the deadlines at the end of this post.
Here’s the Breakdown of My Trip:

- 2 Cantaloupes Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Sale=$2.99 for both
- Large Avocado FREE with Safeway Rewards
- 1.42 lbs. Tomatoes on the Vine Safeway Weekly Just for U coupon for $.99/lb. =$1.41 (Reg. price $3.99/lb.!)
- Signature Select Sparkling Strawberry Watermelon Water, 1 liter FREE with Monopoly win
- Signature Select Apple Juice 64 oz. FREE with Safeway Rewards I cashed in
- 2 cans Signature Select Kidney beans FREE with Safeway Rewards I cashed in
- Signature Select Asian Dressing FREE with Monopoly win
- Signature Select Fajita Seasoning $1.29 (I was hoping this would apply to a Monopoly win, but didn’t)
- Signature Select Pasta FREE with Monopoly win
- Signature Select Cinnamon Candy FREE with Monopoly win
- Signature Select Facial Tissue FREE with Monopoly win
- Chobani Vanilla Oatmilk $4.29 Reg. price, used a $2/1 Safeway app coupon=$2.29
- French Bread Loaf FREE with Safeway Rewards I cashed in
- Sourdough Round Loaf $1 with Safeway app coupon
- Signature Select Sesame 8 pack Hamburger Buns FREE with Monopoly win
Total: I paid $8.29 after all discounts, a savings of 82%
Note on Monopoly Game: Although the tickets are no longer being handed out, we still have time left to earn more prizes and collect them:
Deadline for scanning tickets: 5/18/21
Deadline for collecting prizes: 5/27/21
You must scan in ALL tickets to get a prize, be it a coupon or a FREE instant win item. It will show up under “My List” in the Safeway app
